An exhibition planned for Saturday, May 25, 2024, will be set up at the Monument-Lefebvre Cultural Café, from photos submitted under one of the following themes: Photograph clear, sharp subjects with blurred backgrounds and/or practice the art of macro photography (macro photography is a focusing technique that involves photographing scenes with very small subjects, such as flowers, insects or drops of water). The deadline for submitting your photos is midnight on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. You can submit your photos in electronic format (8X10 or 10X8) at clubphotomemramcook@gmail.com.

The Société culturelle de Memramcook and the Société d'histoire de Memramcook invite you to the annual Prix Éloi 2024 ceremony, which recognizes outstanding contributions to the artistic and cultural life of Memramcook.

This year, we honor : La Troupe du Monument-Lefebvre, for the quality of its theatrical performances; our cultural builders (Thérèse Melanson-Albert, Odette LeBlanc, Raymond Gaudet) for their hard work with the Société culturelle de Memramcook; and Alfred Landry, singer of the popular song La Wing a hein.

The ceremony will take place on Sunday, May 26, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Théâtre du Monument-Lefebvre, followed by a snack at the Cultural Café. Come and support the winners of this 10th edition!

Volunteers needed: To make the awards ceremony a success, we're looking for volunteers who'd like to help us organize the event. We look forward to welcoming you to our team!

As part of the Community Day, the Centre de pédiatrie sociale du Sud-Est is organizing a sale of used books, puzzles, and board games on Friday, May 31, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., and Saturday, June 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Abbey-Landry School gym in Memramcook.

If you have items to donate (in good condition), you can drop them off at the Centre de pédiatrie at 435 Central Street in Memramcook (Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or in the shed behind the Centre in the evening and on weekends, or at Guardian Pharmacy (185 Acadie Avenue, Dieppe). Unfortunately, encyclopedias cannot be accepted.

This fundraising event aims to help children in need in our community. Cash only. Most items priced between $1 and $5.
