Promoting a healthy community life is important to Memramcook Municipal Council and staff members. At the heart of their concerns: supporting residents' initiatives, projects and associations. By participating in the development and the planning of recreational and community installations and activities within the municipality, members demonstrate their leadership skills. In fact, actively collaborating with community organisations is essential to fostering harmonious relationships between the various entities who take part in developing a large range of activities. Accessibility, leadership, a sense of belonging, partner autonomy, respect and volunteer appreciation are some of the values defining the municipality's community-based approach. Thanks to organizations and partners, as well as events and activities, all contributing to develop and maintain a strong sense of belonging among our citizens, community life within the municipality is flourishing.
Welcome Kits for new Memramcook residents

The Village de Memramcook wishes to facilitate the integration of newcomers in the community. To do this, the Village de Memramcook offers a free welcome kit to all newcomers which includes relevant information about the municipality as well as little local surprises.
*The kit is free but registration is required by sending an email to
village@memramcook.com or using this form:
bit.ly/31YaSIE. After registration, the kit will be available for pick-up at the municipal building during opening hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).

Femmes fortes
The municipality is planning to start sessions next spring for women in our community. The objective of the’ project is to further develop the independence of women all while improving self-confidence. Women / girls of all ages will be invited to participate at the sessions and workshops which will be offered for free.Do you have ideas / suggestions for sessions and workshops that you would like to see? Memramcook is a member of Dialogue NB. Dialogue NB is a non-profit organization, led by a volunteer board of directors, with a mandate to help the Province of New Brunswick to be a more socially cohesive community. The organization develops programs and initiatives to help inspire communities and individuals to live together in greater harmony – respecting and celebrating all people as valued members of society.
Age-Friendly Community
Memramcook is an Age-Friendly Community. An Age-Friendly Community is a place where seniors can age actively, live in security and enjoy good health – actions that will improve the quality of life for all citizens well into the future. When a community undertakes age-friendly initiatives, they’re creating a supportive environment where seniors are respected for the valuable contributions they make and where seniors are given a chance to let their strengths shine. This doesn’t just enhance the quality of life for individuals as they get older – it builds a community that’s more inclusive for everyone!

Snowshoes Rental Program and Nature Kits available to rent at the Memramcook Public Library

Did you know that anyone with a New Brunswick Public Library card can now rent a pair of snowshoes as well as nature kits for free at the Memramcook Public Library? Kits contain binoculars, bird and tree books as well as a Nature Hunt Checklist. Please note that there is a limited number of snowshoes and kits (first come – first served) Info: 758-4029 and/or bibliopm@gnb.ca. *Program possible thanks to funding from the Government of New Brunswick.
