The statue was placed back on its base around 7 a.m. this morning, September 8 2026; just in time for the start of the school year. After being taken away on the night of August 25-26 2026 by thieves (who are still wanted by the RCMP), it was quickly restored by its owner, Heritage Development, with the help of J.L. Breau Crane Rentals Ltd, BSM Services (1998) Ltd and Maritime Hydrolics.
We thank all those who took care of the restoration of the statue of this great believer of higher education in Acadie.
