  • Public Notice

The municipal council recently passed a by-law allowing off-road vehicles (ATVs) on certain sections of public roads in the municipality.

The main purpose of this by-law is to allow ATV drivers to connect existing trails and/or access services such as gas stations, restaurants, etc.

It is important to note that this access does not apply to all roads within the municipal boundaries. Only roads designated in the by-law and approved by the province are authorized for ATV traffic. All other roads remain closed to off-road vehicle traffic. Drivers who use unauthorized sections of roads will continue to be subject to penalties, including fines.

In collaboration with the Memramcook ATV Club, we have installed the necessary signage to inform trail users, club members, and the general public.

We are working closely with our municipal enforcement officers and the RCMP to ensure compliance with this new regulation.

AUTHORIZED ROADS

Access is strictly limited to the roads identified in the municipal by-law and authorized by the Province of New Brunswick. The maps included in the by-law show the permitted routes, particularly in key areas for monitoring and compliance.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS FOR ATV USERS

  • Use only designated trails.
  • Make sure you have the required permits.
  • Follow all applicable safety rules

FOR EVERYONE’S SAFETY

Please be considerate, cautious, and respectful of other road users and residents.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the municipality at 506-758-4078 or the Memramcook ATV Club at 506-863-4511.
