The Village of Memramcook launched its summer program on June 17, 2026 at the brand new Bistro l'Angélique (314 Principale Street). Among the highlights, the Spectacle Acadie, presented on site at the Monument-Lefebvre on August 7, will feature Zachary Richard for a second year in a row. In addition, the Consulate General of France in the Atlantic provinces, Mr. Bertrand Cahuet, will be in Memramcook on July 14 to celebrate the France's National Day at the Monument-Lefebvre. The mayor, Maxime O. Bourgeois, is pleased that diplomatic relations between France and Memramcook are put forward.
'' In 1999, the President of France, Jacques Chirac, visited Memramcook as part of the Francophonie Summit. Mr. Chirac gave a speech on the deep roots and links that unite France and l'Acadie; a highly symbolic recognition of our French heritage that still resonates in the hearts of those who were there. We are delighted that the Consulate General of France in the Atlantic provinces has chosen to celebrate the France's National Day in our beautiful valley and we hope to maintain the precious relationship that unites our two nations'', he says.
