The travel time between our village and Dorchester (Tantramar) will be longer over the next few months. The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure invites motorists to use Route 2 (Trans-Canada) during the closure of Royal Rd (Route 106) between Breau Creek Rd and Anderson Mill Rd starting at 12 p.m. on August 17, 2026. The estimated reopening date is in December 2026.
A culvert will be installed under the road and train tracks at this location, and the New Brunswick Department of Transportation and Infrastructure will oversee the closure of the road and it's reopening in December.
It will be possible for motorists to use Breau Creek, Palmer, and Anderson Mill roads during the construction. With more traffic than usual on these roads, we encourage users to exercise caution and stay within the speed limits.
