A native of Memramcook, Normand has remained loyal to his community throughout his life. With his wife of 51 years, he resides on La Montain Road and is the father to three boys. Having graduated from L’école régionale de la Vallée de Memramcook, he went on to study at Oulton Business College, Dale Carnegie Professional Training and Positive Training.

Normand’s career has been in the printing industry, focusing on sales, consulting and administration. He has dedicated himself to numerous children’s organizations over the years as a coach and team manager, in addition to his personal background in hockey, slow pitch and pickleball.

Prior to the incorporation of the municipality, Normand worked with the Local Service Districts of La Montain, McGingley and La Hêtrière. He remained involved in his community by sitting on the boards of the Memramcook Caisse Populaire (1 term), the Foyer Saint-Thomas (3 terms) and IGA Coop Dieppe as Memramcook’s representative (2 years). He now chairs on the Ad hoc Advisory Committee on Agritourism Development in Memramcook and serves as liaison between the municipal council and the Memramcook Chamber of Commerce, Urban/Rural Rides and oversees economic development.
