A native of the Village de Memramcook, Maxime O. Bourgeois completed a B.A. in Social Science specializing in International Development and Globalization at the University of Ottawa, as well as a Juris Doctor at the same university.
He co-founded the Bourgeois Chiasson Law Firm where he still practises today. In 2015, he created Synergie Fr inc., a social enterprise whose mission is to contribute to the development of Canadian Francophonie. Maxime was also a member of the Canadian Forces for over 10 years as an Infanteer, where he developed a level of discipline and leadership that serves him daily.
In 2021, he was elected as Mayor for the Village de Memramcook and his work was recognized when he became a Greater Moncton's Top 20 Under 40 recipient. His ambitious vision for the municipality’s future is centred on community engagement, preserving and showcasing Memramcook’s rich cultural and linguistic heritage while developing sustainable infrastructure that meets the community’s present and future needs. He works to strengthen and improve the community by implementing progressive and sustainable changes for the benefit of the entire community.
Maxime also represents the municipality as an administrator for the Fondation de l’école communautaire Abbey-Landry and the Société du Monument-Lefebvre. He is also the president for the Southeast Regional Service Commission and a member of the Intr’Appreneur Coalition Committee.
