Jean grew up on the family farm on Old Shediac Road in Memramcook. He is married to Patricia (“Patty”), a retired nurse. Together, they have two daughters, Gabrielle and France, and three grandchildren: Mila, Léo, and Bruno.

After earning a degree in music from the Université de Moncton in 1992, Jean built his career in communications, marketing, and entrepreneurship. In 1990, while still a full-time student at the Université de Moncton, Jean founded Cormier Art Graphic, a company specializing in graphic design. He primarily offered services in logo design, flyers, brochures, visual identities, and other communication tools. In 1993, he merged his company with Communication Plus, giving rise to Groupe Communication Plus (GCP). As a partner and artistic director, he led a team of five graphic designers. Jean remains very proud of this entrepreneurial venture and has fond memories of this team, which he considers a true family.

In 2001, Jean continued his career at the Atlantic Lottery Corporation (ALC), where he put his expertise in communications and marketing to good use by contributing to several major projects. In 2013, after leaving the Atlantic Lottery Corporation, he co-founded a company specializing in website design and development with two friends. He has continued his entrepreneurial journey by helping businesses and organizations build their digital presence.

With more than 35 years of experience in communications, marketing, and entrepreneurship, Jean now puts that expertise to work for his community as a municipal council member (at-large) in Memramcook.

Deeply involved in his community, Jean is one of the founders of the Atlantic Attack, an elite ringette team founded in 2011 that has competed in the National Ringette League. The team is made up of players from New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. Over the years, the Atlantic Attack have distinguished themselves on the national stage and has contributed significantly to the development of high-level ringette in the Atlantic provinces.

Jean also serves on the board of directors of the Memramcook Chamber of Commerce, where he actively contributes to the community's economic development and vitality.
