In 2006, the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 89 - Memramcook) wished to honour Memramcook veterans by establishing a commemorative park and cenotaph.
Built at the corner of Royal Road and Saint-Thomas Street, the park is made up of a cenotaph and commemorative engraved stones representing many veterans from Memramcook who had served in the wars of the 20th century. Flowers and pathways also mark the site.
It was desired to create a peaceful park where people can come to think about the difficult times of days past and thank veterans for the sacrifices made to protect our freedom. A Remembrance Day ceremony is held each year at the park.
