Application form - Fire Department new memberThe Memramcook Fire Department is responsible for providing fire protection and emergency services for the Village de Memramcook. It is entirely made up of volunteer firefighters. Currently, the Fire Department has 41 volunteer firefighters devoted to protecting the wellbeing and safety of Memramcook residents. They meet once a week, except during the summer (for a break) to train, practice and maintain their equipment.
There are two fire stations: the main station is in the former Village de Saint-Joseph and the second one is in the former Village de Pré-d'en-Haut. The Memramcook fire station has 3 firefighting trucks and two rescue trucks (equipped with the Jaws of Life, a defibrillator and other rescue equipment). The fire department also has an ATV (4 wheel) to respond to off-road calls.
The Pré-d'en-Haut fire station has two firefighting trucks and one rescue truck.
The Memramcook Fire Department is affiliated with the 911 system and during fires, accidents, emergencies or medical calls is always the first on scene. The Department has the necessary equipment and training needed to fully manage a situation until an ambulance arrives. In 2015, the Memramcook Fire Department responded to 234 calls.

Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) Unit
Are you worried about illegal drugs, alcohol, prostitution, or other illegal activities in your building or on your street? The Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods (SCAN) Investigation Unit gives you a way to safely report your concerns.
Under the Safer Communities and Neighbourhoods Act, the SCAN unit can help improve community safety by shutting down properties that are regularly used for illegal activities.
Residents can call SCAN and confidentially report problem residences and businesses.
If there is a suspicious property in your neighbourhood, do not investigate it yourself or approach the occupants. Call SCAN toll-free at 1-877-826-2122 or email SCAN@gnb.ca.
