Mireille Basque from Revenue Canada will present various credits and benefits, the Canada child benefit, the disability / child disability benefits, the GST / HST credits, the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program, online information and scams.

Chantal LePage from Service Canada will present two income security programs for seniors: Canada Pension Plan (CPP) and Old Age Security (OAS). Dinner at a cost of $5.

Due to the weather conditions, the Volunteer Management Workshop scheduled for Tuesday, December 3 has been postponed to Tuesday, December 10 at 7p.m. in the Abbey-Landry School Amphitheatre. Interesting topics will be addressed by Conrad LeBlanc, University of Moncton professor. The workshop will be followed by a question and answer period.

Remembrance Day 

A Remembrance Day Ceremony will be held at the Veterans Park (at the corner of Royal and Saint-Thomas), at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 11, 2019.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the war (D-Day), a tulip will be planted in front of each of the 234 veterans stones. We invite childrens, grandchildrens, brothers, sisters or any other member of the deceased veterans who would like to plant a tulip at the stone of their loved one to please attend the ceremony. Tulips will also be planted in front of the monument established in memory of the many people who have lost their battle against post-traumatic stress. *Weather permitting.

Every year, the Tree of Hope Lighting Ceremony is a special gathering moment. As part of the Tree of Hope Campaign, the Dames d'Acadie de Memramcook invites you to join the ceremony which will take place on Sunday, November 3 next to the Municipal Building, after the 11 a.m. mass (around 12 p.m.). A lunch will be served in the basement of St. Thomas Church after the ceremony. All are welcome.

🕸️ From 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. for adults and kids

Session Femmes fortes - L'estime de soi
To mark the 70th edition of Mental Health Week (from May 3 to 9, 2021), Marie-Cécile Léger from the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick will present two ZOOM sessions focusing on self esteem.

The first session will take place on Tuesday, May 18 at 10 a.m. and the second on Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. (in French) - if you are interested in an English session please advise us.

This activity is free but registration is required.

Crossroads for Women

A community outreach worker will visit Memramcook once a month to offer support services to victims of family violence and / or sexual assault. Katey will be at the Centre de Pédiatrie sociale Sud-Est on the first Tuesday of each month. If you would like to meet Katey, please call her at 377-5444 or email her at katey@crossroadsforwomen.ca to schedule an appointment in advance.
