EVENTS
In order to avoid gatherings, promote social distancing and limit the risk of spreading the virus, all playgrounds have been closed in New Brunswick. Residents should respect these important restrictions and keep children away from any playgrounds for their safety.
Are you planning on going to a park or trail? Please keep this in mind!
Go out either alone or with people who live with you and try to avoid crowds and crowded places.
🚫🚗 It is discouraged to drive somewhere in order to do physical exercise. Try staying close to home
🚶↔️🚶Make sure not to walk in a group, maintain a distance of 2 meters. If the trails are not wide enough, walk one behind the other rather than side by side and keep an appropriate 2 metre distance. *Note that it is recommended to maintain a bigger distance when we run and / or cycle.
🚸 If you meet someone on the trails - ensure that you are maintaining a 2 metre distance.
🚫 Playground structures remain closed. Don't forget to wash or sanitize your hands before and after you exercise.
🚫 Outdoor equipment like benches and garbage bins are not disinfected. Avoid touching these surfaces.
🐾💩 When out for a walk, keep your dogs on a leash at all times and pick up after your dog.
⚠️ Remember, the parks and trails are open for exercise, not for socializing.
👩🏻⚖️💰 Failure to follow these directives will lead to the closing of our parks and trails by the Government of NB and the municipality.
🚔👉🏻 Municipal employees and Public Safety Officers will be making frequent visits to ensure that these measures are respected.

Flushing wipes, paper towels and similar products down toilets may clog sewers and cause backups and overflows at wastewater treatment facilities, creating an additional public health risk in the midst of the #COVID19 pandemic. Even wipes labeled flushable can clog pipes and interfere with sewage collection and treatment.
These items should always be thrown in the trash.
